Opening and Addresses

    典礼在庄严热烈的氛围中拉开帷幕。黄红梅院长首先致辞，她以“汇通中外，笃行致远”为主题，向新生提出三点期望：守正立己，做规则与文明的践行者；汇通致远，成为文明互鉴的交流使者；精业笃行，立志成为全球性问题的解决者。她勉励同学们珍惜留学时光，深入感知中国文化，拓展国际视野，未来成为中国与世界沟通的桥梁。

    The ceremony began in a solemn and enthusiastic atmosphere. Dean Huang Hongmei delivered the opening address with the theme “Bridging China and the World, Pursuing Excellence with Determination.” She put forward three expectations for the new students: uphold integrity and become practitioners of rules and civility; embrace cross-cultural exchange and become ambassadors of mutual understanding; and pursue professional excellence with the ambition of solving global challenges. She encouraged students to cherish their study abroad experience, deeply engage with Chinese culture, broaden their international perspectives, and become bridges connecting China and the world in the future.

Scholarship Awards

    典礼上，学院为4名汉语成绩突出的国际新生颁发了“国际学生新生奖学金”，表彰他们的语言学习成果，并鼓励更多同学勤学中文，尽快融入中国文化。

    During the ceremony, the School awarded the “International Student Freshman Scholarship” to four new students with outstanding Chinese language performance, recognizing their achievements and encouraging more students to study Chinese diligently and integrate into Chinese culture as soon as possible.

    在激昂的校歌声中，全体师生肃立齐唱，将典礼推向高潮，展现了武汉理工大学团结奋进、追求卓越的精神风貌。

  Amid the stirring sound of the university anthem, all faculty and students stood and sang together, bringing the ceremony to its climax and showcasing the spirit of unity, progress, and pursuit of excellence at Wuhan University of Technology.

Student Orientation

    开学典礼结束后，新生入学教育环节紧接着展开。武汉市出入境管理局外管大队刘馨阳警官为同学们讲解了相关法律法规与安全须知；马房山派出所刘文娟警官作了防范电信诈骗专题宣讲；图书馆夏思雨老师介绍了馆藏资源与服务功能；校心理健康教育中心李竹老师则围绕适应新环境、保持心理健康作了专题讲座，为同学们顺利开启校园生活提供全面引导。最后，留学生工作办公室李可心老师总结发言，介绍了后续禁毒安全知识讲座、消防安全讲座及演习、宿舍安全知识讲座及安全检查等活动安排，同时再次强调了国际学生遵纪守法尤其是课堂纪律的重要性。

    After the opening ceremony, the orientation sessions for new students began immediately. Officer Liu Xinyang from the Exit-Entry Administration Division of Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau explained relevant laws, regulations, and safety guidelines; Officer Liu Wenjuan from Mafangshan Police Station gave a special lecture on preventing telecommunications fraud; Ms. Xia Siyu from the library introduced library collections and services; and Ms. Li Zhu from the University Mental Health Education Center delivered a lecture on adapting to a new environment and maintaining mental well-being, providing comprehensive guidance for students to start campus life smoothly. Finally, Ms. Li Kexin from the International Student Affairs Office gave a concluding speech, introducing upcoming activities such as anti-drug safety lectures, fire safety lectures and drills, dormitory safety lectures, and inspections, while once again emphasizing the importance of international students abiding by laws, regulations, and classroom discipline.
