11月13日下午，国际教育学院组织了80名国际学生参加了由学校在南湖校区图书馆场内场外的11.9消防月——“预防为主，生命至上”的消防应急疏散演练活动。此次演练活动旨在增强全体师生的消防安全意识和逃生自救能力，预防火灾和减少火灾危害，保护学校师生生命与财产安全，提高学校应急处置和防灾减灾能力。

On the afternoon of November 13th, 80 international students from the College of International Education took part in the fire evacuation drill of 11.9 "Prevention First, Life First" held by the school in the library of Nanhu Campus. The purpose of this drill is to enhance the fire safety awareness and escape self-rescue ability of all teachers and students, prevent fire and reduce fire hazards, protect the lives and properties of teachers and students, and improve the school's emergency response and disaster prevention and mitigation capabilities.

本次演练活动在学校领导的高度重视和大力支持下，各部门通力配合，学校师生积极参与，取得了圆满成功。活动开始前，各组负责人对参演人员进行了一系列的消防安全培训和指导，确保每个人都能熟练掌握基本的消防安全知识和技能。此次演练主要涵盖三个方面：一是在火灾现场进行疏散逃生；二是展示消防车车载水炮射水灭火；三是呈现灭火实战操作。当国际学生们收到疏散通知后，他们有序地用湿毛巾捂住口鼻，并在负责老师的引导下排队等待疏散命令。在疏散过程中，他们尽量蹲下身体，手触墙壁或扶手，以避开烟雾，保持队形迅速且有秩序地下楼。撤离图书馆后，学生们在引导员的指挥下有序地慢跑到广场空地集合。

The drill was highly valued and strongly supported by the school leadership, with the full cooperation of all departments and the active participation of school teachers and students, and was a complete success. Before the start of the activity, the heads of each group carried out a series of fire safety training and guidance for the participants to ensure that everyone was proficient in basic fire safety knowledge and skills. The drill covered three main areas: 1. evacuation at the fire scene; 2. demonstration of fire truck-mounted water cannons shooting water to extinguish a fire; 3. presentation of practical fire-fighting operations. When the international students received the evacuation notice, they covered their mouths and noses with wet towels in an orderly manner and waited for the evacuation order in line under the guidance of the teacher in charge. During the evacuation process, they tried to crouch down their bodies and touch their hands to the walls or handrails to avoid the smoke, and kept the formation to go down the stairs quickly and in an orderly manner. After evacuating the library, students jogged in an orderly manner to the open space in the square to gather under the command of the guide.

随后，学生们积极参与了消防知识竞赛、消防书画作品欣赏以及疏散体验等活动。这些活动让他们在模拟烟雾逃生体验馆与仿真灭火体验馆中真实感受火灾场景，通过仿真与实战灭火相结合的方式，有效提升了他们的疏散逃生与灭火实战能力。

Subsequently, the students actively participated in the fire prevention knowledge contest, fire prevention painting and calligraphy works appreciation and evacuation experience and other activities. These activities let them in the simulation of smoke escape experience hall and simulation of fire fighting experience hall real feel the fire scene, through the combination of simulation and combat fire fighting, effectively enhance their evacuation and fire fighting ability.

在活动结束后，来自土库曼斯坦的HAMYTJANOVA LEYLI告诉我们：“这次活动非常有意义，我学到了很多关于火灾逃生的知识。在紧急情况下，这些技能可能会保护我们的生命安全。”来自沙特阿拉伯的ALSAIERI MUHAMMED ABDULLAH M也深有感触地说：“在这个多元化的校园里，我们需要更多的安全教育和实践活动。这次演练让我更加明白在危险面前要保持冷静，并知道如何采取正确的行动。”

After the event, HAMYTJANOVA LEYLI from Turkmenistan told us, "This event was very meaningful and I learned a lot about fire escape. In an emergency, these skills may protect our lives." ALSAIERI MUHAMMED ABDULLAH M from Saudi Arabia was also impressed saying, "In this diverse campus, we need more safety education and practical activities. This drill has made me more aware of the need to remain calm in the face of danger and know how to take the right action."

此次演练活动不仅增强了全体师生的消防安全意识和逃生自救能力，还提高了学校应急处置和防灾减灾能力。同时，通过这次活动，国际学生们也更好地融入了学校的大家庭，加深了对中国文化和校园生活的了解。

This exercise not only enhanced the fire safety awareness and self rescue ability of all teachers and students, but also improved the school's emergency response and disaster prevention and reduction capabilities. At the same time, through this event, international students have also better integrated into the school's family, deepening their understanding of Chinese culture and campus life.
