Ⅰ. Introduction of WUT

Wuhan University of Technology (WUT)is a state key universitywhich cultivates the largest amount of talents in China’sthree major industrial sectors:building and construction materials, transportation, and automobile industries.

With a totalland area of 2.67 million square meters and a total gross floor areaof 1.95 million square meters,WUT has over 60,000 faculty and students, 26 academic schools, 4 National Technology Innovation Bases and 4 modern libraries with a collection of 4.07 million books. Note: Courses can be offered when (more than) 10 students registered in the major, and admitted applicants can change to other majors available when their original majors do not have enough registered students to form a class.

Ⅲ. Duration, Degree & Diploma

The duration of study for undergraduate programs at Wuhan University of Technology is four years (Architecture requires five years). Bachelor's degree and graduation certificate will be awarded if students finish all the required courses,pass the thesis defenseand degree review.

Ⅳ.Eligibility

Applicants should be healthy and well-behaved, and have a foreign citizenship.According to the NO.12 (2020) Announcement of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China, applicants who have foreign nationality at birth but both or one of their parents are Chinese citizens who settled in a foreign country, as well as residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who have obtained foreign nationality after immigrating should hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years within the most recent 4 years (by April 30 of the enrollment year) (The actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).

Applicants should have good academic records and an educational background equivalent to that of the Chinese high school diploma.

3. Applicants should be between the ages of 18 and 25. For the applicants under 18 by Sep. 1st 2026 , a Guardian Statement is required.

4. Language Requirements

4.1 HSK (level IV or above) certificate is required for programs taught in Chineseand applicants whose previous academic stage was taught in a language other than Chinese.

4.2English language proficiency certificate is required for programs taught in English and applicants whose native language is not English, which include score report of English Proficiency test likeTOEFL 80+/ IELTS 6.0+/ TOEFL My Best/ TOEFL iBT Home Edition/ TOEFL Essentials, and etc. Forapplicants who cannot offer the above-mentioned standardized English test results, they will be required to participate in an additional oral or written English test organized by Wuhan University of Technology.

Ⅴ. Application Procedures

1. Online Application

Please log in to the online application system at Wuhan University of Technology International Students Service System within the application period viahttp://admission.whut.edu.cn. Please complete the Wuhan University of Technology Application Form for Foreign Scholars and Students correctly and completely, and upload the supporting documents and pay the application fee as required.

2. Application Documents

2.2Diploma of high school education (originaland translation in Chinese or English)

2.3High school transcripts (originaland translation in Chinese or English)

2.4HSK certificate or score report of HSK (Chinese medium programs only)

2.6 China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) score report

2.7Bank statement of the applicant or financial sponsor

2.8Certificate of non-criminal record

2.9Descriptions of school performance (for applicants who have learning experiences in China)

2.12 Proof of art foundation (for application of fine arts and architecture)

Note: Applicants are required to submit the scan copies of original documents, and translations in Chinese or English will also be required if the original documents do not contain lingua franca. Hard copies of documents are needed for verification upon registration. If there are any counterfeit about application materials, the admission will be considered invalid.

Ⅵ. Review, Examination and Admission

1. Documents Review

AdmissionsOffice,School of International Education, will review the application and documents submitted by applicants within valid period. Qualified application requires complete information and authentic documents.

2. Examination

Applicantsare required to take the China Scholastic Competency Assessment via www.csca.cn and upload the CSCA score report when submitting the application.

2.1 Mathematics (compulsory for all), and the test language should be the same as the language of instruction applied for.

2.2 Physics or Chemistry (optional for science and engineering majors), and the test language should be the same as the language of instruction applied for.

2.3 Professional Chinese (compulsory for Chinese taught programs), and the test category is the same as the applied subject category.

3. Admission

Wuhan University of Technology will issue Admission Noticeand ConfirmationForm for Study in Chinato applicants who satisfy the conditions for admission and pass the review and tests.

Note: Wuhan University of Technology can not register admitted applicants who do not enter China with private passport and student visa.

3. Registration Period

Registration periodis subject to thespecific time printed on the Admission Notice.

During registration at Wuhan University of Technology, the admittedapplicants should bring their passport, visa, Admission Notice, andConfirmationForm for Study in China. Original or notarized diploma and transcripts in English or Chinese of your previous study should also be provided for rechecking during the registration. Any counterfeit about application materials shall result in cancellation of admission.

Ⅹ. Accommodation

Wuhan University of Technology will arrange on-campus dormitories for new studentsin double rooms with 8400 RMB per year per person.
