Ⅰ. Introduction of WUT

Ⅲ. Duration, Degree & Diploma

The duration of study for Master's degree programs at Wuhan University of Technology is three years, and duration for doctoral degree programs is four years. Graduation certificateand a master's degree or doctoral degree will be awarded ifstudents finish all required courses, pass the thesis defense and degree review.

Ⅳ. Eligibility

1.Applicants should be healthy and well-behaved, and have a foreign citizenship.According to the NO.12 (2020) Announcement of the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China, applicants who have foreign nationality at birth but both or one of their parents are Chinese citizens who settled in a foreign country, as well as residents of Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan who have obtained foreign nationality after immigrating should hold a valid foreign passport or nationality certificate for more than 4 years (inclusive), and have a record of actual residence in a foreign country for more than 2 years within the most recent 4 years (by April 30 of the enrollment year) (The actual residence in a foreign country for 9 months in a year can be calculated as one year, subject to entry and exit signatures).

2. Applicants should have good academic records and an educational background equivalent to that of the Chinese Bachelor’s degree for master application, and an educational background equivalent to that of the Chinese Master’s degree for doctoral application.

3. Applicants should be under the age of 35 for mater application and under the age of 40 for doctoral application.

4. Language Requirements

4.1 HSK (level IV or above) certificate is required for programs taught in Chineseand applicants whose previous academic stage was taught in a language other than Chinese.

4.2English language proficiency certificate is required for programs taught in English and applicants whose native language is not English, which includecertificate or score report of English Proficiency test likeTOEFL 80+/ IELTS 6.0+/ TOEFL My Best/ TOEFL iBT Home Edition/ TOEFL Essentials, and etc. For applicants who cannot offer the above-mentioned standardized English test results, they will be required to participate in an additional oral or written English test organized by Wuhan University of Technology.

Ⅴ. Application Procedures

1. Online Application

Please log in to the online application system at Wuhan University of Technology International Students Service System within the application period viahttp://admission.whut.edu.cn. Please complete the Wuhan University of Technology Application Form for Foreign Scholars and Students correctly and completely, and upload the supporting documents and pay the application fee as required.

2.9 Personal statement and a brief research plan. Doctoral degree program applicants need to submit a brief introduction of research experience.

Note: Applicants are required to submit the scan copies of original documents, and translations in Chinese or English will also be required if the original documents do not contain lingua franca. Hard copies of documents are needed for verification upon registration. If there are any counterfeit about application materials, the admission will be considered invalid.

Ⅵ. Review, Interview and Admission

1. Documents Review

AdmissionsOffice,School of International Education, will review the application and documents submitted by applicants within valid period. Qualified application requires complete information and authentic documents.

2. Academic Review and Interview

Applicants who pass the documentsreview willtake the academic review and interview organized by major schools,who will arrange and notify the time and method of interview and give the opinion about acceptance or rejection of the applicant. Outstanding applicants reviewed by experts and professors of major schoolswill have the interview waived and admitteddirectly.

3. Admission

Wuhan University of Technology will issue Admission Noticeand ConfirmationForm for Study in Chinato applicants who satisfy the conditions for admission and pass the academic review and accepted by major schools.

Note: Wuhan University of Technology can not register admitted applicants who do not enter China with private passport and student visa.
