WUT Hosted the 2017 China-Finland Symposium on Patent Transfer and Transformation
Oct 18, the 2017 China-Finland Symposium on Patent Transfer and Transformation, co-hosted by Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) and University of Vaasa (UOV), was held in WUT. Over 80 specialists, enterprise reps, faculties and students from WUT, UOV, Hubei Center for Patent Examination and Co-operation of the State Intellectual Property Office (HCPEC), Hubei Intellectual Property Office, China Railway Fourth Survey and Design Institute (CRFSDI), Wuchang Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group Co., Ltd. and Wuhan Optics Valley Creative Industry Incubator Co., Ltd attended the session.

Vice President Zeng Chunnianwelcomed the present scholars and entrepreneurs before briefing on WUT’s achievement in the transformation of research findings, wishing the session a boost to further co-operation on intercollegiate and business levels between the countries. Mr. Li Shuwu, deputy chief of the Hubei Intellectual Property Office and Prof. Li Mu, school dean of Humanities and Law also addressed the conference.
Keynote speakers, Mr. Xu Zhiqing, deputy director of the Department of Machinery Examination, HCPEC, Prof. Josu Takala, UOV, Dr. Teppo Forss, CEO of TVT (Finland), Prof. Xie Kefan, School of Management, Associate Prof. Liu Guo Long, School of Marxism, Associate Prof. Liu Jieming, Meng Qixun, Hu Shensong, School of Humanities and Law, WUT and Mr. Chen Xiaobo, director of Intellectual Property Department, CRFSDI were engaged in a heated discussion.
The successful convention of this symposium is of great value to the enhanced exchange and co-operation between WUT and its Finnish counterparts and enterprises in patent transfer and technological transformation.
