More than 12000 WUT Graduates Setting Sail for a New Journey

　　June, 2017 is another splendid graduation season. On June 22nd, the WUT 2017th graduation ceremony was conducted.

　　After saluting to the majestic National Anthem of the People's Republic of China, President Zhang Qingjie delivered a speech on "Be a WUTer always Rich in Spirit". He gave congratulations and best wishes to students for accomplishing their studies successfully. He thanked faculty and parents who have cared about and helped students for years.

　　President Zhang recalled the speech he made at the opening ceremony in 2013: "Seek the Essence of Higher Education and Make the Best of You". He confirmed students’ achievements in learning and spiritual growth. He wished for students to adhere to and carry forward the spirit of sound morality and broad learning to consolidate their foundation and adhere to and carry forward the courage of undertaking to temper noble character. He emphasized the importance to be spiritually rich WUTers and pursue excellence in life.

　　Chen Zongwu and other graduate representatives gave speeches respectively, expressing their gratitude for Alma Mater, faculty, parents and fellow students. When reviewing their university life, they also looked forward to serving the society with knowledge and responsibility.

　　After that doctoral graduates went on stage to take their diplomas from President Zhang, followed by master and bachelor degree graduates receiving diplomas from university leaders and school leaders.

　　The graduation ceremony came to a successful close at the chorus of Song of Excellence.

　　In total, more than 12000 students graduated from WUT, holding bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees respectively. It is a time to say goodbye to the familiar campus and set sail for a bright future!
